Taking part
- Anyone can read the community. To post, comment, share show files or report, sign in with your Showduino account and publish a creator profile. Your posts show the creator name and username you chose there.
- Be constructive and kind. Critique builds, not people.
- Share your own work, or work you have permission to share. Credit others.
- No spam, advertising without context, harassment, hateful or sexual content, threats, or impersonation of other people or of Showduino.
- Names such as "admin", "founder", "moderator", "official", "Showduino" and "HauntSync" are reserved and cannot be used by members.
Safety
- Showduino's emergency features are entertainment show-control functions. They are not certified life-safety equipment and do not replace fire alarms, emergency lighting, exits or a qualified safety assessment.
- Do not post instructions that put people at risk. Mains-voltage wiring belongs with a qualified electrician; say so when you share such projects.
- Shared .shdo show files are templates. They never contain your hardware addresses, and loading one does not operate any hardware until you deploy it yourself.
Reporting
Use Report on any post, comment, shared show or creator profile. Reports go only to the Showduino founder. The person you report is not told who reported them. You can report each item once.
How moderation works
- Hidden or removed: the item disappears for everyone except its author and the founder. The author sees the reason. Hidden items can be restored.
- Restricted: the member can read and edit their profile, but cannot post, comment or share for a while. They can still report problems.
- Suspended: the member's profile, posts and shows are hidden and they cannot take part.
- Every moderation decision is recorded in an audit log.
- To ask for a decision to be reviewed, use the Support page.
Limits
To keep spam out there are limits per account: 5 posts per 10 minutes and 20 per day, 20 comments per 10 minutes, 5 shared shows per day and 10 reports per hour. Images must be JPEG, PNG or WebP and up to 3 MB.
Privacy
Your private Studio projects are never visible in the community. Only the profile details you publish, your posts, comments and shared shows are public. Unpublishing your creator profile hides your profile and your posts. See the privacy notice.
